Seiko 5 SNZG87 Yellow Atlas PVD

Seiko 5 SNZG87 Yellow Atlas PVD
Case/Diameter : 42mm case.
Movement : Seiko 7S36 movement.
Dial: Yellow with Day Date window at 3 o’clock.
Straps : 22mm black 2 ring zulu strap. 22mm stock Seiko signed rubber strap.
Includes : Watch and two straps.

Description : The only yellow dial watch I’ve owned without any regrets. It was an easy purchase for me. I saw it and bought it. Love the military look, the yellow dial in the pvd stealth case. The watch in real life just pops. I’m only selling because I’m thinning down to only 5 watches in my collection. To be honest, my crazy collecting days are over.

The watch is in excellent condition. Even looks like new as there are no scratches on the case due to minimal wear. The only scratch is on the case back when I took it to a watchmaker to have the crystal cleaned. The stock rubber strap is unworn and have been sitting in a drawer.

Vintage Seiko 7002-7001 Pepsi diver

Vintage Seiko 7002-7001 Pepsi diver
Case/Diameter : 42mm case.
Crown : Screw down crown.
Movement : Seiko 7002 movement.
Dial: Aged aftermarket with date window at 3 o’clock.
Bezel: Aged aftermarket Pepsi bezel.
Straps : 22mm blue nato strap. 22mm black leather strap.
Includes : Watch and two straps.

Description : Up for sale is this vintage 7002-7001 Seiko diver with a stunning faded Pepsi bezel and aged dial. Both the bezel and dial is aftermarket that I managed to buy from a street watch vendor in the Philippines. It was sitting inside his spare parts box and was already in this condition. I liked the look and asked him to sell it to me. I had a watchmaker in Amcorp Mall put it all together.

The movement needs some extra amount of shaking before it starts moving and you can hear the rotor noise when it rotates. But once it starts, it works decently well for it’s age. It might require a service if you want better performance. I’m selling it as is.

Seiko SBBN017 Marinemaster Tuna

Seiko SBBN017 Marinemaster Tuna
Case/Diameter : 48mm shrouded case. Wears smaller due to the short lugs.
Crystal: Double domed hardlex.
Crown : Seiko signed screw down crown.
Movement : Seiko 7C46 quartz movement.
Dial: Day Date window at 3 o’clock.
Straps : 22mm Seiko Marinemaster stock rubber strap with signed metal keeper (unworn), 24mm black leather, 22mm vintage brown leather. Removable buckle.
Includes : Watch, box, manuals and all straps above.

Description : If you’re looking at this, chances are you know Seiko’s series of Tuna can watches and where the now discontinued SBBN017 fit in the hierarchy. The watch was my go to daily beater and always among the few watches I would take with me on vacations. However my taste in watches have evolved (I’m getting old) and I have not worn this since last year. It’s just been sitting in the drawer gathering dust.

All 3 straps shown are included. Stock runner strap is unworn. Black 24mm strap is from BJ. Brown 22mm leather strap was quickly handmade by me while on holiday as my rubber strap had broken. It was hastily made (so excuse the stitching) and made extra long to fit outside a wetsuit.

The shroud has protected the watch well and has taken some knicks at the 11 and 3 o’clock position as the last four photos show (red circles). There is also a small dent at 11 o’clock on the shroud. The bezel doesn’t turn all the way due to the dent on the shroud. It’s not an issue with the bezel as it was cleaned recently and it turns easily when the shroud is removed. So if you decide to turn the bezel anyway and it gets stuck, don’t force it. Loosen the shroud to reset the bezel. I will include a small hex key for this. Suitable for daily wear but not for diving unless you replace the shroud. I didn’t bother to think about replacing the shroud as I know I’m not going to give this much wrist time anymore.

Seiko 6138-8020 Vintage Chronograph

Seiko 6138-8020 Vintage Chronograph
Movement : Seiko 6138 hand-winding chronograph movement..
Crown : Crown at 3 o’clock. Start/stop pusher at 2 o’clock. Reset pusher at 4 o’clock.
Dial : Black dial with gold indices. Day date window.
Diameter : 38mm without crown.
Lug size : 20mm.
Strap : Aftermarket brown leather nato strap.
Includes : Watch + strap only.

Description : Up for sale is this stunning Seiko 6138 vintage chronograph also named by some as the Black Panda. The watch is 38mm but seems to wear larger maybe due to the chrono pushers. According to the previous owner the watch is all original but the seconds hand might have been retouched. I haven’t worn the watch in a long time but have tested the movement for a few days. Time accuracy is quite spot on for it’s age. The chronograph works well. Starts and stops as well as resets. The watch when fully wound and unworn (left on table) lasted about 24 hours. Selling the watch as it is. You might want to get it serviced if you want better.

Price : SOLD. Gone to a better owner on 17 August 2016. Will be sorely missed.

Vintage Seiko 6309 7040

Vintage Seiko 6309 7040 diver
Crown : Screw down crown.
Movement : Seiko 6309-7040 movement.
Case/Diameter : 43mm without crown.
Dial: Aged aftermarket 6309.
Straps : 22mm vintage grey leather strap from Kain Heritage (worth RM250)
Includes : Watch and strap only. No box.

Description : Putting this beauty up for sale. The iconic vintage Seiko 6309-7040 “Turtle”. I have not worn this for more than a year and only recently found it just sitting in my strap box. I know the dial is aftermarket and perhaps the bezel insert as well. Other than that I don’t really know as I bought it a long time ago. You can look at the photos and appreciate the watch. The watch has not been serviced since I got it. It’s working but needs some winding up for the power reserve to really last, hence priced lower than it’s worth. The well worn Kain Heritage vintage grey strap is included.

Seiko Prospex SBDC003 Blue Sumo

Seiko Prospex SBDC003 Blue Sumo

Dial : Blue dial with Date window.
Diameter : 45mm.
Lug size : 20mm.
Strap : Seiko stainless steel bracelet with signed clasp.

Description : The Blue Sumo or Blumo as it is known to Seiko fans is in my opinion the most versatile model among the Sumo range. The watch has served me well but since getting a Marinemaster MM300, the watch has just been sitting in my watch box. Time to find a new owner who will give it the wrist time it deserves. The watch is in good condition with the normal desk diving marks on the clasp.

G-Shock Bumblebee GA-100A-9A

G-Shock Bumblebee GA-100A-9A
Includes: Watch, manual and replacement box.

Description: When Casio released the GA-100 series, this was among the first four model among the line up. Nicknamed “Bumblebee” after the Bumblebee robot in the Transformers movie because of it’s similar yellow color. I use the watch mostly for outdoor use and despite the usual wear marks, the watch is still in excellent condition as the photos will show. A new battery was also installed just a week ago.

Full specs can be found on Casio’s website.

Price: SOLD. Went to a better place on 30th January 2016.

G-Shock Final Frogman GW-200Z-1

G-Shock Final Frogman GW-200Z-1.

Includes: Watch, box and manual.

Description: This model was the last frogman in the GW-200 series released by Casio. This is the reason why it’s nicknamed the Final Frogman by collectors. This is an iconic G-Shock released in the same colour as the original Frogman from 1993, the DW-6300-1A. To commemorate the last 200 series frogman, Casio decided to place a frog with the number 200 as bubbles on the case back. The watch utilises tough solar technology to charge up the battery. The watch has the usual wear marks but is still in good condition as the photos will show. The only visible flaws that I see are the wear marks on the case back and a small mark on the bezel between the G and S.
